Ericsson Fixed Cellular Terminals
Ericsson ceased production of their Fixed Cellular Terminals in 2007. The range included the Ericsson G32, Ericsson G36 and the Ericsson G35. These were analogue Fixed Cellular Terminals which were also known as GSM Gateways or Premicells.
In 2008, Ericsson also stopped production of it's W25 and W35 3G Routers and again did not produce any alternatives and have pulled our of the GSM Gateway and 3G Router market altogether.
There are some excellent alternatives available depending upon your requirement and we have listed these below.
Ericsson G35 - This was a single SIM analogue GSM Gateway that would provide voice calls only and was typically used to connect to a telephone system to enable calls to be made directly over the GSM network to provide fixed to mobile cost saviings. The Ericsson G35 was also used as a stand along Wireless Landline for payphones, alarms and emergency or temporary telephones.
The alternative to the Ericsson G35, providing a wireless landline for voice calls for stand alone use or for connection to the analogue trunk of a phone system would be the Telecom FM Cellroute which is available in three versions:-
Cellroute AC - Dual Band Single SIM Analogue Fixed Cellular Terminal Cellroute GPRS - Dual Band Single SIM Analogue Fixed Cellular Terminal with built-in battery back up Cellroute 3G - GSM/3G Single SIM Analogue Fixed Cellular Terminal with built-in battery - suitable for use on 3 Mobile network
