We supply a wide range of GSM Gateway and Fixed Cellular Terminal Products for connection to a wide range of PBX Telephone Systems. We supply analogue fixed cellular terminal Gateways, ISDN GSM Gateway and VoIP GSM Gateway fixed cellular terminals. We also supply the latest 3G Routers to provide a complete mobile office solution.
A Fixed cellular terminal / GSM Gateway can be used for cost reduction when making calls to mobile phones and many business users will connect them to their telephone system so that the low Cost Calls via the GSM Gateway can be used by all extension users. GSM Gateways and Fixed Cellular Terminals can also be used for stand alone applications such as telephone and fax for remote / site offices.
Our most popular GSM Gateways are the ISDN GSM Gateway and VoIP GSM Gateway products as these are most easily integrated into phone systems that provide mobile extension working. By using either the ISDN GSM Gateway or VoIP GSM Gateway, in conjunction with a free calls package, businesses can get the most from the Mobile Extension Features of their Phone System.
CHOOSING YOUR GSM GATEWAY
Once a GSM Gateway has had the relevant SIM cards inserted, the antenna connected and it is powered up, you can simply treat it like an extra telephone line and as such connect it to your telephone system in the same way that you would connect a new telephone line. This means that choosing a GSM Gateway is as easy as deciding what type of telephone lines are available for your phone system, and what spare line capacity you have or require to enable the connection of new telephone lines / GSM Gateway.
For Analogue Fixed Cellular Terminals (Cellroute GPRS) you would connect these to a spare Analogue trunk port of your phone system.
For ISDN2e GSM Gateways (GSM Route BRI) you would connect this to a spare ISDN2e trunk of you phone system.
For VoIP GSM Gateways (Onestream G) you would register this as a SIP trunk on your VoIP phone system.
For the above expamples the phone system would need to be configured to route calls via the specific trunk port that the GSM gateway is connected to. If additional calls are required, then just like a telephone line, your purchase additional units and connect them to additional spare trunk ports on the PBX.
The exceptions to the above are ISDN30e GSM Gateways and In-Line multipurpose Gateways such as the Onestream GFX and GBRI which are designed to connect between the telephone system and telephone lines, filtering off calls as required. These types of units contain multiple line connectivity, with a smaller ratio of GSM channels and examine calls leaving the phone system and use the built in least copst routing to either make the call via GSM or pass the call through to the fixed line telephone network (PSTN/ISDN).
The expample below shows the Onestream GFX connected between the analogue line ports of a telephone system and the Analogue (PSTN) telephone lines. The Onestream GSM Gateway can then route calls via the built in GSM channels, or can pass calls through to the PSTN telephone lines. The Onestream also has built in Voice Over IP capability so can also provide additional routing to a SIP trunk provider or to a branch office using IP.

GSM Gateway
GSM Gateway is a term usually associated with Multi SIM Fixed Cellular Terminals and especially with the 30 channel ISDN30 PRI GSM Gateways that connect to the ISDN30 trunk ports of a large ISDN Phone System. A GSM Gateway is any GSM device that connects a standard telephone device to the GSM Network, therefore acting as a Gateway between the two technologies.

The Telecom FM Cellroute enables the connection of a standard telephone device such as a telephone or analogue trunk of a telephone system to enble calls directly to the GSM Mobile Phone Network.
In countries where having a fixed line is either an expensive option or network infrastructure does not exist, the CellRoute can provide fixed line functionality over the GSM network.
CellRoute provides users with high quality voice using EFR (Enhanced Full Rate) codecs and has a data link rate of up to 85.6kbps using GPRS for Email and Internet access (via RS232 serial connection to PC).
The CellRoute can be self-installed by the end user, making the provisioning cycle simple and reducing costs for the network operator. The unit comes with a built in antenna but also includes a 3db Hi-Gain Antenna in the box for low signal areas where a signal boost is required.
The unit has integrated batteries to cater for mains power outages. 11 hours of standby time is provided with a talk time of up to 2 hours.
The Telecom FM Cellroute GPRS will pass incomming CLI Caller ID to a suitable Caller ID Phone.
