Witura Multi SIM Analogue GSM Gateways. Witura manufacture the WT-204 and WT-208 multi sim gsm gateway fixed cellular terminals. These units basically comprise of 4 or 8 single analogue premicells combined in a single box with a single power supply and a single antenna. The WT-204 will connect to 4 analogue trunk ports on a PBX and the WT-208 will connect to 8 analogue trunk prots of a PBX to enable calls over the mobile phone network. The only advantage of using a combined unit is that of a single power supply. We usually recommend that multiple single sim terminals are used as this provides greater flexibility with the advantage of not sharing a single antenna between multiple GSM Terminals and being able to add or remove units one at a time and in the event of a PSU failure only a single GSM channel is lost.

WT-208 Multi SIM GSM Gateway - 8 Channel Analogue GSM Gateway (WT208) Ref: WT-208 The WT-208 is an 8 channel analogue gsm gateway that houses 8 x analogue fixed cellular terminals in a single box. The WT-204 will connect to 8 analogue trunk ports of a PBX to enable 8 simultaneous calls over the GSM network. The WT-208 is dual band and works with the majority of 2G mobile phone SIM cards. The WT208 does not provide a UK Dial Tone, instead it produces a continuous high pitched tone which sounds like a disconnect tone - please bear this in mind before ordering the Witura WT208 8 Port GSM Gateway. Please also be aware that whilts the WT-208 Gateway holds 8 SIM cards, it will still require 8 analogue trunk ports on the telephone system to connect to if you require to make 4 simultaneous calls. The WT-208 shares a single antenna between all 8 GSM Terminals, so you might also need to consider the purchase of additional antennas to improve signal strength to aid call quality and in the event of the power unit failing you will lose all for GSM engines. It is for these reasons that many users requiring 8 simultaneous calls prefer to use 8 individual premicells each with their own power supply and antenna, as this provides the best performance and resilience.
