The first in the range of VoIP GSM Gateways to be launched is the Telecom FM Onestream G - which is a dual SIM VoIP GSM Gateway that will connect to a VoIP enabled phone system as a SIP trunk and enable 2 calls to the mobile network.

Future products will include VoIP GSM Gateways combined with traditional telephony interfaces, such as analogue and ISDN2, which will enable connection in-line to analogue or ISDN2 trunk ports and enable call routing via fixed line, GSM or VoIP.

The CGW-VIP VoIP GSM Gateway works with SIM Cards from O2, T-Mobile, Orange and Vodafone. It features two GSM modules which means that it can make 2 x simultaneous calls. It is designed to connect to a SIP compatible VoIP Telephone System using G.711 or G.729 CODEC and provide connectivity for the IP PBX to make and receive calls directly over the GSM mobile phone network.

The advantage of making calls from your IP PBX over the GSM network is lower call charges when using a competitive calling plan and possibly free calls between mobile phones within the same call plan or network which makes the CGW-VIP VoIP GSM Gateway ideal if your VoIP Phone System has a mobile extension or mobile twinning function.
