GPS Trackers use GPS satellites to provide co-ordinates based location of the Tracking Device. A Personal GPS tracker is a small battery operated device that can be discretely carried by a person to enable that person to be tracked. An example of this is this is the Teltonika GH1200 GPS Tracker which can use SMS text messages sent to the unit to get an SMS response with the devices GPS co-ordinates. These co-ordinates can be entered into a mapping website such as Google Earth to show the location of the GPS Tracker.

The Teltonika GPS Tracker is a small handheld GPS Tracker that is ideal for use as a personal tracker to track people using GPS satellite technology. The GPS Tracker can be interrorgated via SMS messaging to retrive the GPS co-ordinates which can be entered into Google Earth to provide a visual location for the device.

The Teltonika GH1200 GPS Tracker can also be used as a mobile phone - it can be called by anybody and has 4 programmable dialling keys as well as an emergency panic button which will send an SMS to a series of mobile numbers with the Alarm message and co-ordinates and can open up a voice channel to enable an operator to have an audio link with the personal GPS tracker.

The Teltonika GH1200 also features a silent call feature to enable the unit to be used in surveillance and monitoring.
