3G Router - A 3G Router is a device that uses a 3G Mobile Phone SIM card to provide high speed internet access to multiple PC's, either using wired connections in the form of standard 10/100 ethernet interface or using WiFi for greater flexibility. In essence the 3G router is like any other broadband router, but uses the 3G UMTS Mobile Phone Network to deliver the Internet Access Service instead of a standard ADSL service delivered over a telephone line.

The advantage of a 3G router is that they can be used anywhere to provide high speed internet access to a single or multiple PC's and using SIM cards with a Public IP Address they can even link to other sites using a VPN to create a secure and convenient mobile office solution. If there is no 3G service available the unit can use the lower speed GPRS service until a 3G service is available.
